DSRF Launches Instructional Video Series on Communication

View the first in a two-part video series on Successful Strategies for Enhancing Communication in Children with Down Syndrome.

Communication difficulties present as one of the most significant challenges facing children with Down syndrome. Unless addressed, these difficulties can persist into adulthood and severely limit opportunities for work and successful social inclusion.

In our new instructional video, the first in a two-part series on Successful Strategies for Enhancing Communication in Children with Down Syndrome, Riley Rosebush and Jillian Baldwin, RSLP's with the Down Syndrome Research Foundation, introduce the topic by:

  • Describing common language profiles at different stages of development
  • Setting communication goals and planning for success
  • Demonstrating examples of using effective teaching strategies and supports
  • Discussing where to find resources

The communication video series is generously supported by the Ames Family Foundation.
