| APPLY NOW for a Time grant for MEG research
The Down Syndrome Research Foundation is pleased to announce that “time” grants are available for pilot research projects utilizing magnetoencephalography (MEG). Our goal is to promote MEG based research in the basic neuroscience and in projects related to clinical applications in children and adults.
Two grants will be awarded. Each grant will be in the form of 30 hours of MEG collection time (equivalent to approximately $12,000.00). All subject recruitment will be the responsibility of the individual researchers. Researchers are expected to process and analyze their own data; however some support will be available from the DSRF affiliated scientists. Purpose: To collect pilot data using MEG to support an application for research funding. Eligibility and Ethics Researchers based in both academic and community settings are eligible to apply. Ethics approval for the pilot project must be granted by the researcher’s organization before any data collection can take place. All projects will be reviewed the Down Syndrome Research Foundation Ethics Committee and are subject to final approval by the Committee.
