The Down Syndrome Research Foundation would like to thank all those who have volunteered, both their time and effort over the years, to help the organization grow and thrive. We would like to acknowledge some individuals who are currently volunteering here at DSRF;

Annette Kerr currently volunteers at DSRF on Tuesdays. She also works at with CBI Consultants twice a week and is a student with the Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion. As a volunteer Annette’s duties include answering the phone, greeting visitors and helping with mail. She accomplishes these tasks and many more with the help of her canine assistant a labradoodle named Jake. Annette is a dedicated, friendly and outgoing individual whose services are valuable to the foundation. Thank you Annette (and Jake) for your continued support!
Scott Owen Fattedad has been volunteeing at the DSRF since September 2009. He has also attended the One-To-One Reading program. As a volunteer Scott looks after the office recycling, helps with mail out projects and often manages the phones at the front desk. In his spare time, Scott likes to cook. He is also invovled in many sporting activities such as track and field, soccer and hap-do-sool (a type of martial arts). Scott is a fun, outgoing and very friendly person and is a valuable asset to the DSRF.

Thanks to all of our summer school volunteers for thier help throughout the 6 week program. They pitched in to help with everything from building sets for our play, working with students one on one in their literacy and math classes and serving as conversation models in the speech and language components of thier classes. We could not have done this without you all!
