Volunteer Opportunities
The Down Syndrome Research Foundation is a volunteer friendly environment that is committed to working with you to ensure your volunteer experience fits your schedule and provides a meaningful experience. As a member of the DSRF volunteer team, your commitment to the organization is priceless. By volunteering your time, you are not only filling an important position in our organization, but you are also assisting us in carrying out our mission. Who are our volunteers? Many are students of all ages coming from post secondary institutions looking for meaningful experience working with people with disabilities. Some are students in professional programs such as speech and language, physiotherapists or education programs. Some are people with disabilities, looking at ways they can give back. Some are professionals who bring their talents and hobbies to our students as guest speakers, guest readers or guest teachers. We also have many, siblings, grandparents and parents joining our extended family. |
