Annual Reports
2024 saw DSRF deliver almost 14,000 individual and group program sessions while expanding organizational capacity to serve more families in more parts of BC than ever before.
DSRF continued to innovate and increase our impact throughout 2024. Highlights of the year included:
- introducing our new CEO Eleanor Stewart
- providing free speech and occupational therapy to 43 families, many of whom had never previously received Down syndrome services, through an engagement project with the Ministry of Children and Family Development
- expanding our therapy team, allowing us to provide positive behaviour support and occupational therapy to even more families
- adding 4 new group programs for teens and adults, and a new baby group
- celebrating our 10th season and 100th episode of The LowDOWN: A Down Syndrome Podcast
- securing a $200,000 grant from the Canucks for Kids Foundation in support of programs and services for children with Down syndrome
