Aja Masters

Employment Specialist + Occupational Therapy Assistant
Aja (she/her) wears multiple hats at the Down Syndrome Resource Foundation, bringing a unique blend of employment support, occupational therapy, and instruction to her work with teens and adults. As an Employment Specialist and Occupational Therapy Assistant, Aja supports individuals who are exploring employment or working toward greater independence by building practical, real-world skills that translate directly to the workplace. In her role, she works with clients on pre-employment and employability skills, including communication, organization, time management, self-advocacy, and workplace readiness. Aja is passionate about supporting clients not only to find work, but to succeed and grow in meaningful roles.
Aja is also an instructor at DSRF, co-teaching the GROW (Gaining Relationships and Occupational Wins) program alongside Andrea Lee, where she supports participants in building confidence and developing employment-related skills. In addition, she facilitates two weekly adult social groups, creating inclusive spaces for connection, independence, and fun. Outside of work, Aja enjoys watching live music, spending time in nature, and connecting with friends and family.
