Danielle McKinney, M.Ed.

Senior Teacher, One-to-One Reading Program

Danielle is a BC-certified teacher. She completed her Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education at the University of Victoria and recently completed a graduate diploma and Master of Education degree in Special Education from Vancouver Island University. Before joining the team at DSRF in 2011, Danielle taught at a private school for children with learning and developmental disabilities for several years. She has supported the development of literacy and numeracy skills for many children and young adults with Down syndrome. Danielle enjoys the creative problem-solving process of teaching students with exceptional needs and working collaboratively with families and other professionals to support these learners.
