Run Up for Down Syndrome
June 2, 2019 | Swangard Stadium, Burnaby
At the Down Syndrome Resource Foundation, expectations are defied every day. Children speak, after their parents were told it would never happen. Teens graduate with reading skills far beyond what statistics say is "expected." Adults find meaningful employment and thrive in the community, surprising a world that didn't think it possible.
Last year, Run Up for Down Syndrome moved to Swangard Stadium and laid waste to our wildest hopes, growing to over 1,100 runners and almost a quarter million dollars raised in support of educational programs and services for individuals with Down syndrome.
This year, we're not going to even hazard a guess as to where this could go. We're taking inspiration from our students and leaving limits in the past.
Smash expectations and burst through your limits at Run Up for Down Syndrome!
Calling All Early Birds!

Do you work for a Lower Mainland business of any kind? If so, round up your co-workers and take the Corporate Challenge! Businesses of all shapes and sizes are invited to enter a team and compete to make the biggest impact for individuals with Down syndrome.
Teams must have a minimum of 10 members. If you have less than 10 employees, fear not - you can feel free to top up your team with clients, suppliers or family members.
Corporate teams will compete in two challenges, with a trophy and prize awarded to the team that wins each contest. Both contests are based on ratios, to allow organizations of varying size to compete on a level playing field.
